I understand and believe you are being held with tenderness and delight.
My dad sent me this text after I shared something that sent me spiraling into fear. Fear that grips your chest and clouds your thoughts with worst-case scenarios. I felt unsteady as the hum of concern turned into a deafening roar, and his gentle, almost joyful response split my storm.
Someone believed that in the vastness of my dread I was being "held with tenderness and delight," and his belief was contagious. I found a glimmer of my own faith in his. Slowly, what seemed confined to darkness began to illuminate, as if to glow. As if to thaw and warm inside ice.
