Dear friend,
Do you hear them too? The angelic voices that stand out from the marching ones, the repetitive ones, the worried, the fearful, the harried ones? Do you notice them sweeping their hands across the window you are looking through to clear the mud? Do you hear the loving tug of truth, sending signals, wishes, and benevolent re-directions?
I do, much of the time. The truth is often simple and challenging at once. The way is clear and direct, and yet, riddled with forgetfulness. Sometimes it feels like I am standing at the mouth of the trail, ready and willing, but my legs don’t trust me. There is often a lag so significant we turn back and abandon the road altogether. What has saved me are primarily seeds that drift down on the wind and plant in me small but muscular counsel that somehow motivates me to trust and move.
This five-minute meditation or offering is one of those seeds that have eased me forward lately. I blow it to you now through the wind of my mouth, with and in the spirit of love.
