Sarah Blondin is a free newsletter. If you love it, consider supporting it financially. For $5/mo, you’ll gain access to “Folding In” journal entries, poetry and the occasional live group meditation gathering. My work here is reader-supported, hence the lack of ads and sponsors. Thank you! I am so happy you are here!
It all began with an inner voice drawing my interest over and over again. The voice tells me I need to work this muscle— my speaking into peoples eyes, not just notebooks. Why? Because growth says so. Growth says, 'hurtle toward your wonder. One day you won't be able to.' Growth says, 'something here holds a spark you are curious about.' Growth says, 'put your hand over the fire and risk your easy ways.' Growth says, 'step onto the road forming before you. See what meets you on your way.’ This is me responding to this voice, and giving it a try.
There is a difference between people that look and people actively looking. Some observe and glide over, and some dig in. I have always struggled with skimming. I mostly lay on the ground, inspecting stones or nebulous clouds. There is often dirt under my nails. I've always been attuned— sensitive, to the very sublet currents of seasons and cycles, circumstance and vicissitudes. The world rubs me in a way that demands I deeply care for myself in return. This gathering is for those who need a space to nurture and pay attention to themselves, a place to come where there is nothing strange or wrong or alien about them and how deeply they feel. For the weary and the joyful who have always known there is a reverent and gentle way to live and have been doing the groundwork daily. Really, it’s an hour dedicated to taking care.
For as long as I can remember, I have hungered for warm rooms filled with soft voices that ask, "How do you feel? And where does it hurt?" I have longed for slow, mindful conversations and comfortable listening ears. I have yearned for rooms and gatherings designed to warm and embrace the heart. ‘Sit with Sarah’ is my attempt at creating a space for a need I have always had. A need all the ‘looking’ ones share. This event is meant for resting open, knowing not one bit of your softness will be harmed. It is the hug we've always needed from the world and one another.
Won't you join me?
love,
Sarah

Also, in the name of heart-centered conversations, these are some I have had of late (click on the photo for the link).
