Sarah Blondin is a free newsletter. If you love it, consider supporting it financially. For $5/mo, you’ll gain access to “Folding In” journal entries, poetry, and the occasional live group meditation gathering. My work here is reader-supported, hence the lack of ads and sponsors. Thank you! I am so happy you are here!
The first thing I did this morning after brushing my teeth was lay on the floor. Never before has the Earth and the ground of my body called to me more intensely.
Rather than flinging open the door to my day surrendering to the autopilot of obligations, I chose a different path. I remained close to the ground, where silence and stillness reign. There, I softened the edges of the tension already coiling within my chest, those premature thoughts and gears whirring to life. I let it all melt, seeping through my back and down and out through my feet. I consciously chose to inhabit my body differently—with a surrender, a presence, an embodiment.
